Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Critical Power Sales Specialist to advance the Emergency Standby Generator market and related products in the Texas/US area. You will cultivate relationships with electrical contractors, engineers and end-users, and manage projects through the full sales cycle.

The role leverages deep product knowledge of generators, UPS systems and switchgear, with in-house service support and a strong emphasis on timely action and customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Solid understanding of generator and electrical distribution principles.
• Strong attention to detail and diligent follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to understand, embrace and implement new technologies as they evolve.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate sales opportunities with new and existing accounts.
• Develop relationships with electrical contractors, engineers and end-users.
• Develop relationships with local trade associations and user groups.
• Spend time in the field interacting with electrical contractors, consulting engineers and end-users.
• Create and prepare quotations for projects as needed.
• Diligently follow through and follow up on every opportunity.
• Work with inside sales to manage projects through submittals, delivery, install and start-up.
• Maintain customer data and sales activity in the CRM.
• Collaborate with other sales teams to hand off leads for other products.
• Coordinate with the service department to present Preventative Maintenance Agreements.
