Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Hutto, TX seeks a Critical Power Sales Specialist to grow our Emergency Standby Generator business and related power products. You will cultivate new and existing accounts and develop relationships with electrical contractors, engineers and end-users, coordinating with internal teams to prepare quotations and manage projects through the sales cycle.

The role requires 3+ years in the electrical industry, a solid understanding of generators, UPS, and switchgear,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in the electrical industry in sales or field service.
• Experience with generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution or switching systems.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate sales opportunities with new and existing accounts.
• Develop relationships with electrical contractors, engineers and end-users.
• Develop relationships with local trade associations and user groups.
• Spend time in the field with contractors and engineers.
• Create and prepare quotations for projects as needed.
• Follow through and follow up on opportunities.
• Coordinate with inside sales to manage projects through the sales cycle.
• Maintain customer data and sales activity in CRM.
• Collaborate with other sales teams to hand off leads for other products.
• Work with service department to present maintenance agreements.
• Be willing to travel overnight as needed (avg 2–4 nights/month).
• Work under deadlines and flexible hours as required.
