Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services seeks a Critical Power Sales Specialist to drive opportunities for Emergency Standby Generators and related products alongside the Hipower Systems portfolio. You will develop relationships with electrical contractors, engineers, and end-users while coordinating with service and inside sales teams.

The role emphasizes field engagement, quotations, CRM upkeep, and cross-team collaboration, with occasional overnight travel and flexible hours to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in electrical industry in sales or field service.
• Direct experience with generators, UPS, electrical distribution or switching systems preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate sales opportunities with new and existing accounts.
• Develop relationships with electrical contractors, engineers and end-users.
• Build relationships with local trade associations and user groups.
• Spend time in the field interfacing with contractors and engineers.
• Prepare quotations for projects as needed.
• Follow up on opportunities and manage projects through sales cycle.
• Coordinate with inside sales to manage submittals, delivery, install and start-up.
• Maintain customer data and CRM activity.
• Collaborate with other sales teams to hand off leads.
• Promote Preventative Maintenance Agreements with the service department.
• Travel overnight 2-4 nights per month as needed.
• Work flexible hours to meet customer needs.
