Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking an outside sales professional to drive transaction growth for assigned accounts and prospect new customers. You will manage the sales process from end to end, negotiate terms, and coordinate with yard, store, and office teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Based on experience, you will build relationships, assess requirements, prepare estimates, quotes, and changes, and help ensure on-time project delivery while meeting margin targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years selling in building materials or similar industry.
• Ability to read blueprints and discuss specs with customers.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop potential customers and deliver effective sales presentations.
• Establish relationships with prospects and assess requirements for tailored solutions.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and address their needs promptly.
• Observe construction sites to determine material requirements.
• Prepare estimates, quotes, POs, changes, and invoices per guidelines.
• Achieve maximum gross margin on all sales and coordinate with teams.
