Smart Start, Inc. is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to expand market presence and develop influencer partnerships within an assigned territory.

This is a primarily field-based role focused on building strong, in-person relationships with influencers, government officials, and referral sources who drive end users to Smart Start products. The ideal candidate thrives in face-to-face selling environments and will own the territory, travel as needed, and contribute to growth

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or business development.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and utilize breath alcohol testing devices on a continual basis.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Establish, develop, and maintain in-person relationships with current and prospective influencers within assigned territory.
• Generate new sales through proactive outreach, structured territory planning, and relationship cultivation.
• Expand product market share by identifying and developing new referral sources.
• Evaluate influencer needs and build productive, long-term partnerships that drive lead generation.
• Provide technical expertise and consultative support to government officials and referral partners.
• Educate partners on product functionality, reporting platforms, and compliance features.
• Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and state-level meetings related to alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock programs.
• Develop and execute competitive sales strategies tailored to local market dynamics.
• Gather market intelligence to maintain Smart Start’s competitive advantage.
• Maintain proficiency in Smart Start products, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms.
