ScottsMiracle-Gro in Georgia is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Field Sales team and develop strong relationships with major home center retailers such as The Home Depot and Lowe’s. The role includes increasing in-store presence, planning sales/marketing initiatives, and supervising Merchandisers.

You will drive strategic selling, coach a Merchandiser team, and partner with retailers on merchandising and budget management.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, or account management.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.
• Ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers.
• Strong problem solving and service orientation.
• Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work in varying weather.

Responsabilités

• Utilize strategic selling tactics by analyzing and preparing key metrics to educate home center retail partners on business opportunities.
• Advise customers through metric updates and business reviews.
• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating.
• Develop recruiting plans, interview and hire Merchandisers.
• Coach and develop career paths for each associate on the team.
• Provide job training and communicate product knowledge across Scotts brands.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other tools and events.
• Assist retailers in merchandising Scott’s product lines and use of POS materials.
• Manage the budget by controlling expenditures.
