ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Field Sales team. You will manage Merchandisers, develop retail sales/marketing plans, and educate partners on business opportunities.

You’ll recruit and hire, train staff, and oversee budgets to expand in-store presence across assigned territories. The role offers leadership opportunities, a performance-based bonus and vehicle reimbursement, with a need to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Preferred experience supervising/managing employees and a budget.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.
• Problem solving and service oriented attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating work assignments along with providing ongoing feedback.
• Utilize strategic selling tactics by analyzing and preparing key metrics to educate our home center retail partners on business opportunities.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other creative marketing tools and events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interviewing, and make hiring decisions to build out your Merchandiser team while effectively managing your budget.
• Provide job training and communicate product knowledge across the portfolio of Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising of Scott’s product lines, including the use of point-of-purchase materials, as appropriate, to meet account needs.
