Graybar is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to sell in a specialized market, prospect new customers, and maintain existing accounts. You will visit customers at their sites or other off-site locations, promote products, and manage pricing compliance within territory.

The role requires 3+ years in the industry, a 4-year degree preferred, and strong negotiation skills. Expect extensive travel and a base salary starting at $53,052 with bonus potential based on business metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn Graybar's business and work independently to achieve goals.
• Ability to sell effectively and be persuasive.
• Extensive travel is required, including some overnight travel.

Responsabilités

• Meet or exceed the annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in the assigned territory in compliance with pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collecting past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
