LHH has a client looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Field Sales Engineer (FSE) to maximize the sales potential of cutting-edge industrial electrical products within the NE Territory of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont (YOU MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN TERRITORY). The successful candidate will leverage technical knowledge and sales acumen to support customer projects, uncover new opportunities, and champion offered solutions. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to operate independently with minimal supervision, building a leading presence in the market.
What You'll Do:
- Aggressively promote and sell a diverse range of industrial electrical products in line with company strategy.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of industrial and related infrastructure markets, identifying key customers and understanding how to leverage product advantages.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, excelling at networking to expand market share.
- Collaborate with internal teams, providing market feedback to contribute to new product development and enhance existing offerings.
- Serve as a key resource for technical and commercial problem resolution, ensuring prompt handling of customer inquiries and issues.
- Efficiently manage the assigned territory, including CRM updates, sales reporting, forecasting, and customer correspondence.
- Represent the company at networking events, tradeshows, webinars, and other marketing initiatives.
- Obtain an intimate knowledge of all products, effectively converting features into tangible customer benefits.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitive activity, and new product developments, recommending appropriate actions.
- Build and maintain strong rapport with decision-making personnel at customer accounts.
- Support in the preparation of Monthly Sales reports and ensure timely submission of all required paperwork.
- Ensure all social media activity aligns with company guidelines.
What You'll Bring:
- BSME is required.
- Minimum 2 years of successful field sales experience is preferred.
- A proven ability to perform essential sales duties satisfactorily, with a desire to excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an aptitude for working effectively with customers and internal teams.
- A team-player mentality with a willingness to assist where needed, coupled with being a self-starter who can thrive under limited supervision.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with CRM systems (e.g., File Maker) is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 50% within the assigned territory.
