Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Tooling Sales and Application Engineer to drive metal-cutting tool sales within the Sacramento territory.

This field role combines machining expertise with sales acumen, including customer relationship management, technical support, and on-site demonstrations. The position emphasizes a home-office base with 80%+ travel to customer sites in the territory, near the San Francisco Bay area, with a company vehicle and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in CNC machining industry experience.
• 1-2 years in technical sales and/or application experience preferred.
• Proficient in product knowledge, applications and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by providing metal cutting solutions to customers.
• Generate, qualify, and manage sales leads and new accounts.
• Manage the full sales process: prospecting, qualification, demos, pricing, and negotiations.
• Develop territory plans to achieve revenue goals with focus on product sales.
• Provide timely answers to pre-sales technical and commercial queries.
