Job summary

Asplundh Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a Work Planner to perform field-based vegetation management tasks in outdoor environments. The role emphasizes safety, data collection, and customer communication while supporting ROW inspections and vegetation control.

The position requires college credits or related experience, strong tree knowledge, and basic computer skills. Travel and physical demands are part of the job, with a company vehicle provided for work-related use.

Qualifications

• Minimum 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits toward a degree OR 2-3 years of UVM experience without degree.
• Species and hazard tree identification knowledge.
• Computer and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety audits.
• Inspects rights-of-way (ROW) and easements for trim, removal, and chemical treatment requirements.
• Marks vegetation as required.
• Collects and reports data required by Line Clearing contractors.
• Notifies and communicates with customers as required.
• Travel requirements for these positions may vary based on location and project needs; occasional travel may be necessary.
• Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization.
