Job summary

AMS is seeking a Work Planner to join our outdoor field team. You will conduct safety audits, inspect ROWs, mark vegetation, and collect data for Line Clearing contractors, with occasional travel required.

A valid driver\'s license and ability to work in varied conditions are essential. The role offers competitive pay, a company vehicle with a fuel card, and benefits including medical/dental/vision on day one, with 401K and additional life insurance after three months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits toward a degree from an accredited college/university or 2-3 years of UVM experience without degree.
• Species and hazard tree identification, invasive species, and tree growth knowledge.
• Computer and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety audits.
• Inspects rights-of-way (ROW) and easements for trim, removal, and chemical treatment requirements.
• Marks vegetation as required.
• Collects and reports data required by Line Clearing contractors.
• Notifies and communicates with customers as required.
• Travel requirements for these positions may vary based on the specific work location and project needs; candidates should be prepared for occasional travel, both day and overnight, as necessary.
• Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization.
