Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Work Planner for outdoor field work, data collection, and vegetation management coordination. You will drive to sites, document vegetation work, and maintain records with tablets and forestry software.

The role emphasizes safety, independent work, strong communication, and adaptability in varied environments, with opportunities for certifications and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of UVM or related field work experience.
• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/ walk Right-of-Ways and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.
• Must work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain, with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards including safe driving and wildfire prevention.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions and interactions.
• Safely drive to work sites, hike rights-of-way, and document vegetation work.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
