Job summary

AMS is seeking a motivated Work Planner to join our vegetation management team in Michigan. The role involves outdoor field work, safety audits, ROW inspections, and data collection to support line clearance projects.

Ideal candidates have college credits or 2-3 years of UVM experience, knowledge of tree species, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required; a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits toward a degree.
• Tree identification and hazard species knowledge.
• Computer and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety audits.
• Inspects ROWs and easements for trim/removal/chemical treatment.
• Marks vegetation as required.
• Collects and reports data for Line Clearing contractors.
• Notifies and communicates with customers as required.
