Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Specialist to develop, support, and audit safety programs reinforcing our commitment to a safe workplace. You will work with field teams to promote safety ownership, support incident investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA requirements across projects.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30/500/510 certifications are preferred
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, review, updating, and communication of the SSSP to subcontractors and staff
• Collaborate with craft daily to promote ownership of the safety program
• Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to enforce policies and plans
• Plan and problem-solve with operations based on leading indicators
• Provide safety training on OSHA/MSHA, NCCER, SIMS, orientation, and client requirements
