Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Specialist I to develop, support, and audit safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA and client requirements. The role reports to the Project Safety Manager and focuses on implementing the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field.

Travel and relocation are required as needed to project sites. Strong communication, organization, and a proactive safety mindset are essential to protect personnel and ensure project safety objectives are met.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction safety experience
• Knowledge of OSHA/OSHA regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and communicating the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP)
• Collaborate with craft in the field to promote safety program buy-in
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions
• Maintain project safety files and OSHA/MSHA compliance
• Provide safety training on policies and client requirements
