Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Safety Specialist II to support the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field and report to the Project Safety Manager. You will help apply safety manuals, laws, and district standards while ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting with hazard inspections, incident investigations, safety training, and maintaining OSHA/MSHA-compliant records across multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30, 500 and 510 certifications required.
• Experience with construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Preferred degree in a safety-related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing, updating, and communicating the Site Specific Safety Plan to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with craft in the field to promote safety program buy-in and ownership.
• Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to enforce policies and work plans.
• Plan and problem-solve with operations using leading indicators and upcoming work.
• Provide safety training on policies, OSHA/MSHA, NCCER, SIMS, and client requirements.
• Maintain project files per OSHA/MSHA regulations and investigate incidents.
