Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region.

This field-facing role partners with operational leaders to perform workplace assessments, inspections and incident investigations, translating safety requirements into practical actions. You will help identify practical preventive actions, support return-to-work plans and drive safety programs across Care Centers while maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships with HR and Fleet.

Qualifications

• At least four years of relevant safety experience in a multi-site operational environment.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Strong communication skills; explain safety requirements to leaders and frontline team members.
• Sound judgment, calm response to urgent situations and dependable follow-through.
• Fleet safety experience and environmental management systems are assets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations to identify risks and implement practical preventive actions.
• Conduct workplace assessments and inspections across the Central region.
• Support incident investigations and return-to-work processes.
• Translate safety requirements into practical actions for frontline teams and managers.
• Build trusted relationships with MDs, Regional Managers and Care Center Leaders.
