Job summary

Gateway Services is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region. This field-facing role partners with operations leaders, performs workplace assessments, inspections and investigations, and translates safety requirements into practical actions.

You will travel up to 50% and work closely with Care Center teams to prevent incidents, implement safety programs, and drive continuous improvement while keeping employees safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field.
• At least four years of relevant safety experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site operations.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain safety requirements to leaders and frontline teams.
• Sound judgment and calm response to urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace assessments and inspections across Central region.
• Support incident investigations and identify preventive actions.
• Provide practical safety advice to operations leaders and teams.
• Help implement safety policies, tools, campaigns and training.
• Use data to identify recurring risks and propose improvements.
