Job summary

Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region in a remote field-facing role.

You will conduct workplace assessments, inspections and incident investigations, identify preventive actions and ensure improvements are sustained. You’ll partner with Operations leaders and HR to embed practical safety practices across Care Centers, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least four years of relevant safety experience.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Strong communication skills to explain safety requirements to leaders and frontline staff.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace assessments and inspections.
• Support incident investigations and determine preventive actions.
• Translate safety requirements into practical actions for operations teams.
• Partner with Operations, Fleet, HR to address cross-functional safety issues.
• Maintain regional safety data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Provide timely field information and support following injuries and incidents.
