Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Field Safety Manager in Elgin, IL to lead the company-wide safety program across multiple construction sites, ensuring OSHA compliance and safety standards. The role requires 5–8+ years in construction safety with supervisory experience and preferred OSHA certifications.

You will develop training programs, conduct investigations, and maintain safety records while coordinating with insurers and regulatory officials. On-site, full-time role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive construction safety experience, including supervisory or management experience
• OSHA certifications (CHST, CSP, OSHA 500 series) strongly preferred
• Lead and oversee company-wide safety program and safety staff

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company-wide safety program across multiple construction sites, ensuring OSHA compliance and company safety standards
• Mentor site safety staff and jobsite superintendents on safe work practices
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs
• Oversee incident, accident, and near-miss investigations with timely reporting and corrective action
• Maintain and audit safety records including OSHA 300 Logs and training documentation
• Manage Drug Free Workplace Program and pre-employment/post-accident drug testing protocols
• Serve as primary contact with insurance providers and regulatory officials
