Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Safety Manager for commercial construction projects in Chicago, IL. You will lead safety programs on active jobsites, enforce policies, and partner with project leaders to maintain a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate has construction safety management experience, OSHA 30, and a track record of conducting site inspections, incident investigations, and development of site-specific safety plans. Travel to multiple sites is required.

Qualifications

• Construction safety management experience on commercial projects.
• OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience with jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
• Accident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to coordinate safety training and toolbox talks.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs across active jobsites and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with project leadership, field teams, and subcontractors.
• Perform safety inspections, incident investigations, and JHA/JSA.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training and toolbox talks with teams.
• Maintain safety documentation and reporting; ensure PPE and fall protection compliance.
