Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems in Sparks, NV seeks a Safety Team Lead to develop, implement, and audit safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance across locations. You will mentor safety staff, oversee projects, and collaborate with field partners to promote a strong safety culture.

The role requires extensive safety expertise, leadership experience, and strong communication. Travel to project sites and collaboration with clients are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, maintenance, safety, or operations.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with delegation and directing others.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CHST or CSP Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist safety leadership with workload delegation and schedule management.
• Mentor and train safety staff within the team.
• Review quality and accuracy of team work.
• Lead safety projects and resource planning with field and project partners.
• Facilitate training in-person, virtually, or via e-learning with Training Dept.
• Coach field leaders on safety protocols and hazard identification.
• Maintain strong relationships with field leadership and clients.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections (OSHA).
