Job summary

Targa Resources seeks a Construction Safety Specialist to provide safety support across capital projects in natural gas gathering, processing, and pipeline facilities. The role partners with project teams to promote safe work practices and ensure regulatory compliance in the field.

The successful candidate will spend the majority of time at active construction sites, lead safety initiatives, perform risk assessments, and assist with onboarding and safety training for contractors and operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience with contractor onboarding, safety meetings, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day safety leadership for construction activities.
• Serve as safety resource to Project Managers, Superintendents, and contractors.
• Promote proactive safety culture through field engagement and coaching.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits for contractor compliance.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support startup and turnover activities with safety plans and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
