Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks a Manager, Construction Safety to lead safety efforts across capital projects including pipelines and processing facilities. The role partners with project teams and contractors to ensure activities meet safety expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

The position emphasizes active field engagement, safety audits, incident prevention, and continuous improvement to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of construction safety experience in pipeline/oil & gas/heavy industrial projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• CHST certification preferred.
• Experience overseeing large-scale pipeline construction projects.
• Working knowledge of API, ASME, AWS standards.
• Experience overseeing contractor safety programs during major projects.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction safety leadership for assigned capital projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Review safety plans, JHAs/AHAs, and site-specific safety programs.
• Maintain a strong field presence to observe activities and ensure compliance.
• Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce company policies and regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Audit permits, pre-task planning, and field documentation for consistency.
• Travel to project sites as needed to support safety performance.
