Job summary

Energy Transfer LP, a leading energy transport company, seeks a Manager of Construction Safety to lead safety across pipelines, compressor and processing facilities, and related projects. This role partners with project managers, inspectors, and contractors to identify and mitigate risks from heavy civil to commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 8+ years of construction safety experience in pipeline, midstream, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• CHST certification preferred.
• Experience with large-scale pipeline construction projects.
• Working knowledge of API, ASME, AWS, and applicable construction standards.
• Experience overseeing contractor safety programs during major capital projects.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction safety leadership for assigned capital projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Participate in planning reviews, contractor selection, and project kickoffs to mitigate risks.
• Review safety plans, JHAs, AHAs, and site safety programs.
• Maintain significant field presence to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and assessments of active operations.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
• Support safety considerations in daily work execution and planning.
• Investigate incidents, near-miss reviews, and root causes with corrective actions.
• Audit permits and pre-task planning to ensure consistency across projects.
• Track safety metrics and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Coach supervisors and crew on hazard recognition and safe work execution.
• Support contractor onboarding and site-specific safety training.
• Promote accountability and proactive hazard identification throughout all phases.
• Travel to project sites as necessary to support ongoing safety performance.
