Job summary

Capital Waste Services LLC seeks a Safety Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across locations. You will partner with operations leadership to promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in workplace safety performance.

The role includes safety audits, training delivery, incident investigations, corrective-action management, and reporting to operations and executive leadership; regular field activities and travel are required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with preferred Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of safety, compliance, risk management, transportation, waste services, or related operational experience.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, audits, inspections, and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage company safety programs, initiatives, and policies.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and site observations across locations.
• Identify hazards and develop corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, environmental, and workers' compensation requirements.
• Plan, organize, and deliver safety training for employees and managers.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and incidents; perform root-cause analyses.
