Job summary

S&R Enterprises seeks a Project Safety Manager for its Fredericksburg site. You will own safety on the active project, conducting daily observations, documenting incidents, and ensuring corrective actions are completed on time. The role requires leadership on-site and close collaboration with the crew and safety leadership.

You will train crews, maintain records, and coordinate with regulators to keep the project compliant. This role aims to foster a proactive safety culture on a high-risk site.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction safety experience on active job sites.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (fall protection, hot work, lockout/tagout).
• Experience leading agency inspections on site and acting as contractor POC.
• Proven record of investigating incidents and closing corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety orientation and operator training.
• Proficient in documenting reports and keeping records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Own the safety condition on the assigned site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Conduct daily observations and weekly audits to identify hazards.
• Investigate incidents, interview witnesses, and prepare factual narratives.
• Lead safety training for new hires and ongoing compliance sessions.
• Communicate with regulators and act as site liaison for safety matters.
