Job summary

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement and maintain the safety program across regional job sites.

You will promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture and lead trainings, incident investigations, and safety meetings with field teams including superintendents and laborers. The role requires 5+ years in construction safety, OSHA standards knowledge, and a Bachelor's in safety/construction-related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably on large-scale ground-up or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar are a plus.
• Experience developing JHAs, SSSPs, and Fall Protection Plans.
• Valid driver's license and regular travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-wide safety policies and develop job-specific safety plans.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure OSHA and company standards compliance.
• Participate in JSA reviews and Jobsite Gym activities.
• Lead safety trainings and meetings at corporate, regional, and self-perform levels.
• Participate in and lead corporate safety meetings.
• Lead preconstruction safety meetings for self-perform work.
• Train on Fall Protection, NFPA Hot Work, First Aid/CPR, MEWP, and Forklift programs.
• Perform hazard assessments and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; prepare reports and root-cause analyses.
• Ensure proper PPE use, maintenance, and availability of fall protection systems.
• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and coordinate site-wide safety initiatives.
• Collaborate to complete pre-task documentation (Fall Protection Plans, Demolition Plans, Silica Exposure Control Plans).
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety meeting records, and training certifications.
• Plan safe means and methods for high-risk activities (scaffolding, formwork, heavy lifting, concrete).
• Stay current with local, state, and federal safety regulations and best practices.
