Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a Field Safety Supervisor to provide onsite health and safety support across the Abilene, Texas project, spanning construction and long-term operations. The role requires expertise in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910, with a focus on building a proactive safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout all site activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in health and safety management
• Associate degree preferred
• OHST certification highly desirable
• Experience in construction/industrial safety environments
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910
• Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive safety culture for the project site.
• Develop safety performance metrics and targets.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for OSHA compliance.
• Facilitate daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and drills.
• Document and report incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Lead RCA efforts and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
• Oversee safe commissioning and transition from construction to operations.
