Job summary

PRIME Electric Group is hiring a Safety Specialist to implement and sustain health and safety programs across Bay Area, Reno, and Portland projects. The role minimises hazards, conducts trainings, and performs site audits to ensure OSHA/DOSH compliance while supporting project teams.

The ideal candidate has a degree or relevant experience, OSHA 500, and CHST certification, with strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office. Travel to multiple jobsites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• OSHA 500 Certification.
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certification.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments with changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Safety Director/Sr Safety Manager to increase safety awareness and reduce unsafe behaviors.
• Assists with providing safety trainings.
• Travels to jobsites and conducts safety audits and trainings.
• Ensures OSHA/DOSH compliance across workplaces and sites.
• Maintains, tracks and monitors incident and investigation reports.
• Assists with incident investigations and equipment inspections.
• Identifies enhancements to PRIME safety programs and recommends changes.
• Conducts safety orientations for new employees and safety meetings at jobsites.
• Supports foremen with safety processes for pre-task/JHA planning.
• Collaborates with field personnel on ergonomics and material handling safety.
• Provides safety equipment inspections and recertifications for warehouse.
• Adheres to PRIME Safety Program and regular on-site presence.
