Job summary

PRIME Electric is seeking a Safety Specialist to support and sustain health and safety programs across our projects in California. The role requires traveling to sites and coordinating with the Safety Director to advance safety practices and training.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, and safety orientations. Candidates should have OSHA 500, CHST, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 500 Certification required.
• CHST Certification required.
• Able to adapt in fast-paced environments with changing conditions.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail and observation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program implementation and sustainment at worksites.
• Increase safety awareness and reduce unsafe behaviors with the team.
• Provide safety trainings and conduct jobsite safety audits.
• Ensure OSHA/DOSH compliance of policies and procedures.
• Maintain incident investigation reports and equipment inspections.
• Assist with pre-task/JHA planning and safety meetings.
• Visit jobsites regularly to oversee progress and assist project management.
• Collaborate on ergonomic and material handling safety processes.
• Support warehouse safety equipment inspections and calibrations.
