Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to support our safety program across North America. You will help implement site safety policies, monitor projects for compliance, and assist in creating safer work environments, with relocation to project sites as needed.

The role offers hands-on learning in construction management, exposure to federal OSHA requirements, and a base compensation of $20.00–$24.00 per hour, active during 09/14/2026–12/19/2026, with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Help monitor construction project activities for regulatory and company compliance.
• Assist in establishing safe working conditions and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Support safety program audits, coaching, and onsite training.
