Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee field safety activities and ensure OSHA, state, and federal compliance across projects. You will work with craft foremen to implement safety programs, train new hires, and drive injury reduction.

Requirements include 2+ years in safety within construction or general industry, fluent in Farsi/Dari and English, and OSHA 30 or higher. The role emphasizes proactive hazard identification and safety program development.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Farsi and Dari; ability to read and write in these languages.
• Strong English communication skills; can read, write, and speak clearly.
• OSHA 30 certification or higher; relevant construction safety experience.
• Minimum of 2 years safety experience in construction or general industry.
• Proficient with basic computer skills and safety data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Observe job activities and identify site hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA and other guidelines.
• Provide direction for immediate actions on hazards or compliance issues.
• Lead safety training and new employee orientation.
• Maintain safety records and input data into the EHS system.
• Assist in accident investigations and post-incident recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate programs to reduce injuries and losses.
• Coach foremen and crews on pre-task planning and safe practices.
• Attend customer safety meetings and assist with policy development.
