Job summary

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and one year of fulltime satisfactory experience in civil engineering work.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering technology and three years of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits at capital construction sites and identify unsafe conditions.
• Review site-specific safety plans and enforce DDC safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, DOB, MUTCD and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare electronic field audit reports and maintain safety records.
• Attend construction meetings and participate in safety training programs.
• Assist with emergency response and accident investigations.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, managers, consultants and contractors.
