Job summary

Maven Robotics is seeking an exceptional Robot Field Engineer to support pilot deployments at customer sites. You will oversee and operate robotic systems within pilot environments to meet operational goals and collaborate with the customer engineering team to collect feedback, ensuring the solution meets expectations.

You will work with Maven Autonomy and Controls teams on-site, diagnose issues, and integrate our solutions with customer systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
Hands-on experience with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
Proficiency with C++/Python and ROS2; Linux-based development and debugging.
Working knowledge of robotics networking protocols (CANOpen, EtherCAT, UART).
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and complete robotic tasks.
Willingness to travel 40–50% to customer facilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee and operate robotic systems within pilot environments to meet operational goals.
Coordinate with customer engineering to collect feedback and ensure the solution meets expectations.
Collaborate with Maven Autonomy and Controls teams to execute on-site test plans.
Conduct first-level software triage and report findings to the engineering team.
Integrate robotic solutions with customer systems and monitor task success and throughput.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on robotic hardware and electromechanical systems.
