Job summary

Field AI in Saline, MI is seeking a proactive Field Application Engineer to support deployment, testing, and client-facing operations of our robotic systems including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots. This onsite, contract role emphasizes hands-on field work and clear communication with clients.

You will collaborate with engineers, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document results, and travel as needed to customer sites across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Robotics, EE, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in team-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field, support testing and data collection.
• Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos.
• Facilitate communication between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback in detail.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability.
