Job summary

Amazon Robotics AR TD is seeking a Systems Engineer II to lead end-to-end deployments of industrial automation across North America stores. You will coordinate on-site installation, test activities, and handoffs with hardware engineering, PMs, and operations teams, traveling to project sites as needed.

The role demands strong electro-mechanical and network coordination capabilities and the ability to work across multiple teams to deliver projects on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years troubleshooting robotics systems or other complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems.
• 5+ years in deployment, retrofits or technical maintenance of large-scale industrial robotics.
• 5+ years experience with project management tools including BOM management and deployment work instructions.
• Experience reading CAD models (mechanical/electrical) for deployment and support of robotics.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple deployments across sites, coordinating installation and acceptance testing.
• Drive on-site execution to meet go-live dates with independence.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, product managers, and site teams to refine deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation.
• Resolve difficult technical problems during deployment and balance time, quality, and resources.
• Develop standard work documents and automate deployment workflows.
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals.
• Develop deployment domain expertise and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
