Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to build strong relationships with local retailers, educate merchants on client programs, and drive growth across our San Francisco market. The role is field-based, with daily in-territory travel and a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will visit multiple stores, place signage, document activities, and collaborate with leadership to hit territory goals while maintaining high service standards. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met
