Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients at home and in alternate care settings. The role combines hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, patient assessments, discharge planning, and education for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in AMA-approved respiratory program is required.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure is required.
• Valid, unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all serviced states is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform assessments, review patient records, and communicate findings to physicians.
• Assist in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers on ventilator care and device use.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in company systems.
