Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role combines patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital.

Core responsibilities include managing ventilators, conducting assessments, participating in discharge planning, and educating patients and caregivers on equipment

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and reassessments, including review of ventilator patient records and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and execution for ventilator dependent patients.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator units and proper equipment use.
• Provide clinical follow up with physicians and referral sources regarding patient status.
