Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care for ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will educate families, work with physicians, and ensure high quality outcomes outside the hospital.

You will apply advanced ventilator knowledge, perform assessments, and collaborate with care teams to optimize patient safety and transition planning. This role requires travel and field work.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in respiratory care from an AMA-approved program.
• License as a Respiratory Therapist in applicable states.
• Ventilator management and airway clearance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of ventilators and HME products.
• Perform assessments, document outcomes, and communicate with physicians.
• Discharge planning and education for ventilator-dependent patients at home.
