Job summary

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service is hiring a Repair Assistant to support Technicians on plumbing and drain projects in the Los Angeles area. You will help set up job sites, manage tools, and ensure safety and efficiency in field work.

This hands-on role requires physical work, strong communication with customers and property managers, and reliability to adapt to jetting and repair tasks as needed. Competitive hourly wages accompany a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related plumbing, drain cleaning, or construction experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Consistently punctual and reliable.
• Ability to lift/move 35lbs regularly, 100lbs frequently, and occasionally more than 200 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to adapt to schedule changes and assist in both Jetting and Repair departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up job sites, assist with equipment, and ensure safe and efficient execution of plumbing and drain projects.
• Ride with Technicians to job sites and assist with project setup.
• Provide and organize necessary tools and equipment.
• Assist with drain cleaning, drain repairs, and commercial/residential projects.
• Help minimize water damage and support cleanup efforts.
• Remove sewer caps, drag hoses, and clear access points as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices and follow all company protocols.
