Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a field-based Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager to support HCPs with patient access and reimbursement for AbbVie therapies.

You will call on HCP offices within your geography, educate on coverage, eligibility, and payor processes, and work with AbbVie’s reimbursement center to update Rx status. The role requires 3+ years in neuroscience or related managed care, strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid dynamics, and excellent territory management skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years neuroscience with experience in managed health care, payer account management, and/or access and reimbursement.
• Strong understanding of payer policy processes, coverage, coding and payment for specialty medicines.
• Ability to communicate coding/billing requirements at national/regional levels across care settings.
• Understanding of Medicare parts A–D and associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Experience with drug acquisition and dispensing in neuroscience space and interaction with specialty pharmacies/distributors.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacies/networks).
• Educate on resources to address access issues.
• Provide local expertise on payor policies and payer processes for Rx status and eligibility.
• Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement center to update HCPs on status and eligibility.
• Report payer trends related to approved products to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
