Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager to cover Omaha/Midwest areas, acting as a field resource for HCPs on patient access and reimbursement for Duopa, Vyalev and Juvmo. You’ll educate providers on payer processes and program eligibility, and liaise with AbbVie’s access teams to resolve coverage questions.

The role requires 3+ years in Neuroscience with payer experience, knowledge of Medicare rules, and strong relationship-building skills. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Neuroscience with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• Thorough understanding of payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage and payment for specialty medicines.
• Ability to communicate coding and billing requirements at National and Regional levels across care settings.
• Knowledge of Parts A, B, C, and D or Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics.
• Experience with drug acquisition and dispensing in Neuroscience (Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors).
• Ability to work with access and reimbursement service centers and interact in a compliant manner.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks.
• Educate on resources to address access issues.
• Provide local expertise on payer policies to educate providers on payer issues and coding changes.
• Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center on Rx status and eligibility.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC account teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
