Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate providers/providers staff on insurance coverage and reimbursement processes, helping patients access specialty medications. You will travel weekly within a territory including Southern California and surrounding states.

The role requires knowledge of pharmacy benefits, prior authorizations, and appeals, and involves collaborating with payer and patient assistance teams. A PACS certification is expected within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience as Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist preferred.
• Willingness to obtain a PACS certification within six months.
• Experience resolving pharmacy benefit access issues.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff on access and reimbursement topics using client-approved resources.
• Support patient access by resolving reimbursement and coverage challenges.
• Collaborate with client’s patient assistance and reimbursement services.
• Meet with healthcare providers to educate on reimbursement considerations specific to the product.
• Travel within designated territory, including potential overnight stays.
