Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate providers on insurance issues and help patients access specialty medications.

The role involves partnering with payers, pharmacies, and providers to navigate coverage challenges and ensure timely access to therapies. The position requires extensive travel within a designated territory, strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit reimbursement, and the willingness to obtain PACS certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience as Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist preferred.
• Previous experience working in healthcare directly resolving pharmacy benefit access issues.
• Experience with extensive travel.
• Willingness to obtain PACS certification within first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers and staff on access and reimbursement topics using client-approved resources.
• Resolve reimbursement and coverage challenges to support patient access to client products.
• Collaborate with other patient assistance and reimbursement support services offered by the client.
• Weekly travel to healthcare offices within a designated territory, including potential overnight stays.
• Educate office staff on coverage management strategies: coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
