Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to support its network of supermarkets and stores. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems in a field-based role.

Responsibilities include on-site service, preventative maintenance, and coordination with supervisors. EPA 608 certification and a valid driver’s license are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of refrigeration systems and components is required.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common system issues in the field.
• Experience with field service documentation and asset management systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation are expected.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform routine service calls and preventative maintenance across locations.
• Document work orders, labor, and refrigerant usage accurately.
• Escalate complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
• Maintain safe operations and comply with EPA/OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with store teams and other technicians to complete tasks.
