Job summary

Houchens Food Group seeks a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to support our network of supermarkets and convenience stores. This field-based role performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems at assigned locations to ensure product integrity and store operations.

You will work independently in the field, join on-call rotations, and collaborate with supervisors and store teams, following EPA/OSHA safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Respond to emergency service calls and system failures.
• Maintain clear communication with store personnel and internal teams.
• Complete service work across assigned locations with minimal supervision.
