Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Refrigeration Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems across our network of supermarkets and convenience stores. This field-based role supports system reliability, store operations, and on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, document work orders, and assist with startups and upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Complete service work across assigned locations with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clear communication with store personnel and internal teams.
• Accurately document work orders, labor, and refrigerant usage.
